By: almotamar.net - SANA’A- Almotamar.net came to know that the Islah Party Supreme Body held a meeting on 25 September to discuss the reasons behind the defeat of the party in the elections held on 20 September.
Well-informed sources told amotamar.net that the Supreme Body members held the meeting in the house of Mohammed al-Yadoumi, secretary-general of the Islah Party. They affirmed al-Yadoumi didn’t attend the meeting as he felt disappointed and frustrated.
Sources stated that he couldn’t fulfill his promises to achieve a landslide victory for his party, as a result of which he felt disappointed and frustrated.
The sources added that Islahi leaders have severely blamed al-Yadoumi, Abdul-Wahab al-Anesi and Mohammed Qahtan for the defeat in the presidential and local council elections, criticizing the troubled speeches adopted by the Islah during the election campaigning period.
The sources, moreover, described al-Yadoumi, Qahtan and al-Anesi as arrogant especially as they decided to attack and offence the General People’s Congress.
The three Islahi leaders are now held responsible for the bad status of the party and its defeat in the elections.
