By: Aref Abu Hatem (almotamar.net)- - SANA’A- Sultan Al-Barakani, Assistant Secretary General of the General People's Congress, undervalued the congratulation of Faisal Bin Shamlan for President Ali Abdullah Saleh, describing it as “the psychological state Bin Shamlan goes through” after the defeat in the 2006 presidential elections.
“We affirm Bin Shamlan’s congratulation for President Saleh on his winning the elections is not required,” he added.
In a statement to almotamar.net, al-Barakani pointed out that the speech of Faisal Bin Shamlan delivered on Monday was not surprising for any one as “he affirmed from the very beginning of announcing his candidacy for presidency that he was a hired person, and that a hired person obeys the instructions of the renter.”
“We have pitied Bin Shamlan as he accepted to play this role or delusion in which the JMP made him live since he announced his candidacy. He took that dream for granted, not knowing the JMP leaderships didn’t nominate any one from among themselves as they know very well they have no place among the masses.”
Al-Barakani appreciated the psychological state in which Bin Shamlan lives after the vanishing of all his dreams and delusions ‘which made him seemed like a drowned man.”

“Bin Shamlan was honored for his defeat and he has the right to have the title of the unsuccessful candidate through which he can express his sorrow and the sorrow of the JMP that put him in such a situation. I wished the JMP would relieve his pains by being honest with him.”
According to al-Barakani, democracy, development, security, stability, revolution, unification and prosperous future are all facts and are there whether in the presence or absence of the JMP. He added the people put their confidence in President Saleh for his electoral platform, and that achievements are due to be realized one by one. Saleh, he went on to say, is the leader who belongs to the people and will remain the leader of great changes and symbol of all honest men.
Al-Barakani didn’t express wonder at the celebration held Monday to honor Bin Shamlan, saying “Perhaps this is related to the contract signed between the JMP and Bin Shamlan, and that the former has to abide by the contract conditions.”
