By: almotamar.net - MUKALLA- President Ali Abdullah Saleh today called on all society members to fight against corruption and report to the Central Organization for Control and Audit on any corrupt in any governmental institutions, affirming the state's preparedness to help investments in the field of electricity and seawater desalination.
At an Iftar meal held today in al-Mukalla city, Saleh said, "Corruption is an integrated system politically, culturally, socially, administratively and ethically. So, every one has to correct his situation at any institution, whether in the local authority, executive or legislative power."
"People in glass houses should not throw stones. Every member of society has to fight against corruption in action not in words, and inform the corrupt that he is corrupt," he added.
Saleh congratulated the people of Hadramout governorate on the 43rd anniversary of the 14 October Revolution as well as the advent of Eid al-Fitr. "I would like to congratulate the faithful people of Hadramout on the success of the democratic celebration Yemen experienced last month, which is added to the democratic achievements since the Unification... Democracy is nice but sixty years old it was difficult for people to accept it. With the passage of time, they began to be accustomed to it."
Saleh pointed out that people dealt with the election publicity of the last elections in a civilized way, adding that there will be held more elections in the years to come. "Every day we make better achievements. We will go ahead without stopping moving towards democracy and development."
Additionally, Saleh called on investors to invest in the fields of electricity and seawater desalination.
