SANA'A- An official report stressed on the importance of setting a national plan to make clear the priorities of tackling the issues and situations that hinder the development plans in the country, asking the government to rise the funding of scientific research centers and universities.
The report, of which almotamar.net obtained a copy, has been issued by the higher committee for supervising education. It says it seems that institutional order and coordination and cooperation between research centers and the higher board is not marked.
The achievements realized by the government were not accompanied by marked progress to direct and specify the priorities of scientific research, the report says. Research centers face financial shortfalls, where the money spent on scientific research doesn't exceed 0,05 of the gross domestic product.
