almotamar.net - SANAA-President Ali Abdullah Saleh left Sana’a Thursday for the state of Qatar on a state visit during which he is to discuss with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani the two countries relations of brotherly cooperation and horizons of developing and expanding them in all areas besides consultation about current situations in the region.
The president is also to attend the ceremony of opening the Asian Olympic Games scheduled to be held in the Qatari capital Doha tomorrow.
In a statement to Saba news agency at Sana’a airport president Saleh said he was pleased to make the brotherly visit to the state of Qatar in response to an invitation extended by Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of the state of Qatar. The president said he would hold there talks dealing with means of consolidating the brotherly relations, areas of cooperation and consultation about the current situations in the region, mainly the situations in Palestine, Iraq, Somalia and the ways guaranteeing coordination of Arab stands about them.
The president added the visit is a confirmation of the extent of the distinguished sisterly relations between the two countries and in continuation of communication among the two countries’ officials with the aim of pushing the two countries relations towards more spacious horizons at all levels and various areas interest of aspirations, hopes and interests of the two peoples.
