almotamar.net - SANAA- Political advisor to president of the republic Dr Abdulkarinm al-Eryany expressed his confidence that the upcoming stage will witness advanced qualitative transfer in Yemen’s relations with its sisterly countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in the light of the positive political activity this relationship is witnessing and serving aspirations of the region’s countries in progress, stability and development.
Dr al-Eryani also affirmed the significance of promoting and pushing forward the partnership and constructive cooperation towards spacious horizons translating the will the region countries’ leaderships in the way achieving the full integration that serves interests of the brethren in the region and meets requirements and dictates of the future under the great changes the world is seeing.
Dr al-Eryany pointed out the objective and subjective factors for Yemen accession to the GCC after it has solved all border questions with the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the achievement of the Yemeni unity of the factor of security an stability in the region and in the light of president Ali Abdullah Saleh’s directives on a package of government measures in the area of investment, transparency, fighting corruption and adjustment of Yemeni laws with their counterparts in the GCC countries.
Inn his lecture delivered Wednesday at the military academy Dr al-Eryany reviewed Yemen’s relations with the GCC and their historical roots and common denominations in the areas of geography, culture, society, religion and civilization, in addition to other types of fraternal ties that reflect the depth of those relations throughout history.
