Almotamar.net - Minister of Human Rights Dr. Khadeeja al-Haisami affirmed the importance of sincere national efforts working for the consolidation of the culture of human rights in the society especially among the youths at Yemeni Universities.
She said the youth constitute a proportion amounting to 40% of the community and this requires putting among our plans and priorities towards the youth for enhancement of the culture of human rights. We also must establish principles of the democratic processes for more activation and participation of the youth in the political process to contribute to raise capabilities among the youth and to build the awareness on .democracy.
She has made those remarks at a seminar on democracy and human rights in Yemeni Universities organized by the center of information and qualification for human rights in Sana'a on Thursday.
The minister considered the event as a positive initiative by civil society organizations, stressing that her ministry cannot work away front interaction of civil society organizations particularly that there is partnership between the ministry and civil society organizations. She added the project of clubs is complementary to the project of curricula on human rights the ministry is carrying out.
