almotamar.net - The Yemeni capital Sana’a embraces on Wednesday meetings of a two-day 3rd Conference of Arab Parliamentarians on legislations of handicap in the Arab world participated by 150 Yemeni and Arab members of parliament, officials from Arab and international handicap organisations. The conference is organized by the Shoura Council in collaboration with the UN Social Development Committee.
The conferees discus over four working sessions major premises regarding affairs of Arab handicapped dealing with frameworks and references for the realization of equal opportunities, the world experiments in empowering for reaching the natural environment, policies, legislations, programs and measures applied in the area of enabling to access information. In addition, the premises deal with the world reality for the implementation of the rule of access opportunities.
The conference also deals with more than working papers on legislative aspects of the handicap and proposals of legislative facilities for the handicapped that aim at assisting the handicapped financially and morally as well as guaranteeing all their human rights regarding care and attention.
It is to be recalled that this is the third symposium in a full program including fourteen symposia to be held during the next two years. The first symposium was held in Amman in March 2005, the second in the Lebanese capital the beginning of December of the same year.
