Almotamar.net - The Secretary General (SG) of the General People's Congress (GPC) Abdulqader Bajammal affirmed Tuesday that the GPC deals clearly with all the national issues and has nothing to hide. Its extreme transparency is the basic impetus for the people rallying behind it.
During his opening today the qualifying programme for organisation leaderships of the GPC in al-Shamaiteen district organised by the GPC branch at the college of education, the SG reviewed the historical roles the party played since its foundation in 1982 to the present time. He especially mentioned the great role in reunification of Yemen, stabilization of the democratic pursuit, the freedom of opinion and other opinion, the principle of large-scale popular participation in the rule, peaceful transfer of power, enhancement of security and stability, building the Yemeni modern state and achievement of comprehensive development under the leadership of president Ali Abdullah Saleh the leader of the GPC. The SG affirmed that the party was and will continue to pursue moderateness and discard extremist ideas.
Bajammal addressed the youth by mentioning that they shoulder the big responsibility for defending the national issues and participating in the enlightenment by following moderateness and discarding violence and extremism among members of the society.
Dr Najibah Mutahar explained that the qualifying programme will continue to 23 of this month and the 120 participants from the party leaders are to listen to ideological, cultural and organisational lectures, indicating there will be other courses to be held later.
The SG had earlier chaired a meeting of the party cadres in the city of Al-Turba, reviewing developments in the country and explaining the GPC stand regarding those different developments. He hailed the national stands of population of the city and prayed that all will maintain communication and coordination and to exert more efforts to achieve the tasks they shoulder. The meting came out with many organisation treatments for the issues discussed.
The opening of organisational programme was attended by Sultan al-Barakani, the GPC assistant Secretary General, Ahmed Abdullah al-Hijri, member of the GPC General Committee, the head of the executive body of Taiz, head of the party branch of Taiz Jabir Abdullah Ghalib, Dr Mohammed Abdullah al-Soufi head of the party branch at the university, Ahmed al-Zuhairi member of the General Committee, Mohammed al-Musbahi member of the permanent committee, Abdulqawi al-Shamiri, deputy head of the information office, Ammar al-Barti, secretary of the first deputy of the GPC leader, Ubaid Bin Dhabee, director of the GPC Secretary General and Mazin Nouman, secretary of the secretary General.
