Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh was keen Saturday to extol the development in the performance of the Yemeni armed forces in the latest years during a speech he delivered today in opening graduation ceremony of batch 11 command and staff.

The president affirmed that the armed forces of Yemen have moved from random performance to the scientific and academic one.

He cited that by the armed forces performance in operations whether in the apostate and secessionist wars or in their operations against the insurgent and outlaw terrorists in some areas of Saudi governorate, describing their action against the terrorists in Saudi as excellent and distinguished.

President Saleh stressed the necessity of paying attention to building the mentalities that train and command in the battlefield. He recalled that the armed forces and the security are the safety valve of the revolution, unity, freedom and democracy.

The president's praising remarks, especially regarding performance of the armed forces and the security in their operations against terrorists have coincided with a large-scale government action aimed at acceleration in the process of putting an end to the insurgency sedition ignited by the terrorist Abdulmalik al-Houthi in parts of Saada.

The government movement is prominently embodied in a meeting Saturday of the premier Dr Ali Mujawar, deputy premier, the minister of interior Dr Rashad al-Alimi, Ali Mohammed al-A'nisi, director of the presidency office, the chief of the national security and Ghalib al-Qmash, chief of the political security organisation on the one hand and leaders and representatives of the political parties and civil society organisations in Yemen on the other hand.

The prime minister attributed the reason of the meeting to the aim of acquainting representatives of political parties and organisations with developments of the situations in Saada, requesting to know opinions of those leaderships vis-à-vis this sedition that the terrorists broke out in some parts of Saada. While the prime minister has affirmed that what is going on in Saada is targeting all: the system and the constitutional legitimacy, saying the terrorists are seeking to undermine the republican system in accumulative operations dating to beginning of the eighties of the last century, he called for not subjecting the national issues to political bickering.
Director of the national security emphasized that the situation has become almost under control by the state after tightening the grip on the terrorists who have begun to fall in many of the areas. On his part the minister of interior reviewed the measures the government has taken with regard to the educational aspects with regard to the process of regulating carrying weapons and possessing them, calling the political parties and civil organisations to contribute to supporting the efforts of the state in this regard.

Meanwhile, the minister of endowments Judge Hamoud al-Hitar that the committee formed by the Yemeni scholars conference has arrived Saturday in the governorate of Saada to inform leaders of the rebels on resolutions and recommendations of the conference calling them and their followers to return to reason and lay down the weapons, discarding rebellion and to surrender themselves for sparing their and others blood and to be good citizens similar to the citizens of the people of Yemen.
