Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh received Wednesday Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasim Bin Jabr Al-Thani, the prime minister of Qatar, foreign minister who conveyed a message from the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani dealing with brotherly relations and areas of cooperation and means of strengthening them at various levels. The message also death with development of regional, Arab and international situation of common concern for the two countries and the Arab nation.

The meeting discussed many issues and topics related to the two countries interest.

President Saleh asked the Qatari premier to convey a reply message to the Emir of Qatar wishing him good health and ever prosperity for the Qatari people.


On the other hand president Saleh also received today the visiting Italian deputy defence minister and his accompanying delegation. The meeting discussed aspects of relations and areas of cooperation between the two countries particularly cooperation in military and coast guard field.

The president acquainted with results of talks the Italian official held with officials in Yemen during which there was an agreement signed in relation with cooperation between Coast Guard in the two as well as to inauguration of installation of the first phase of observation radars to watch the Yemeni coasts and areas of cooperation in training, qualification and exchange of expertise between armed forces in both countries.

The Italian deputy defence minister affirmed keenness of Italy on strengthening their relations, expanding areas of cooperation at different levels and supporting the development and democracy in Yemen. The Italian official displayed his country's preparedness to finance the second phase of the system of radars for watching the Yemeni coasts.
