Almotamar.net - An official source at the interior ministry said Saturday that suspension of the military operations depends on Andulmalik al-Houthi and his followers' commitment to the conditions agreed on and stipulated in decisions of the National Defence Council.
In his comment on what was issued by Abdulmalik al-Houthi and his aides in which he expressed his response to the call of president Ali Abdullah Saleh in his speech on the 17th national day on the 22 of May2007 in Ibb out of the president's keenness on preventing the Yemeni bloodshed and solving all the problems through dialogue for the achievement of the public interest, the military operations will be suspended in the governorate of Sada.
The interior ministry source linked suspension of the military operations to commitment of Abdulmlik al-Houthi and his followers to the conditions agreed upon and included in decisions of the National Defence Council in its session on 12 February 2007 the text of which is:
1-stop all military operations and commitment of Abdulmalik al-Houthi and his followers to the republican system, the constitution and the operative laws in the country,
2-Ending the state of rebellion and implementing the general pardon decision and the release of prisoners except those accused of cases referred to the prosecution or under consideration by courts, revealing the fate of the missing, treatment of the wounded and hand handing the corpses to their families,
3-Life returns to its normalcy in the areas and return all those misled to their areas to live as safe citizens similar to the citizens in the republic,
4-Spread the state general order in the region similar to the rest of the republic provinces,
5-Surreendering the medium weapons with their ammunition to the state,
6-Respect the freedom of opinion and expression including the right to establishment of a political party according to the constitution and the laws operative in the country,
7-Arrival of Abdulmalik al-Houthi, Yahya al-Houthi, Abdulkarim al-Houthi and Abdullah Aidha al-Razami in the state of Qatar without practicing any political or information activity hostile to Yemen and not to leave Qatar but after agreement of the Yemeni government,
8-Stopping all acts of information campaigns and acts of fomenting,
9-The Yemeni government would reconstruct what the war caused and deal with its consequences and the state of Qatar would contribute to a fund for the reconstruction of the areas affected by the war and compensate the affected people and the fund will be open to contribution by Arab and friendly countries,
10-A committee will be set up by the political leadership composed of members from the parliament and Shoura council chaired by Mr. Muhsin al-Ulfi, deputy chairman of the Shoura council and membership of heads of parliamentary blocs and the Shoura council to supervise implementation those article in specified hours and days. The committee includes as members the following:
1-abdulrahman Bafadhl, member of parliament,
2-Yasser al-Awadhi, MP,
3-Sultan al-atwani, MMP,
4-aidarous al-Naqib, MP,
5-Nasser Arman, MP,
6-Hussein Mohammed Arab, member of the Shoura Council,
7-Sadiq Bin Abdullah Bin Hussein al-Ahmar, member of the Shoura council,
8- Ahmed Mohammed al-Shami, member of the Shoura Council,
9-Mohammed Shaif Jarallah, member of the Shoura council.
The source expressed his great appreciation and valuation of the heroic role and dear sacrifices and the honourable national stands carried out by members of the armed forces and the security, the support battalions, leadership of the local authority of the governorate of Saada and the honourable citizens of Saada. Sheikhs, notables, social personalities, scholars and intellectuals who did brave deeds and all have recorded the most generous sacrifices in the national duties.
