Almotamar.net - The political advisor to the president of the republic Dr Abdulkarim al-Eryany has reiterated Sunday confirming that the process of carrying out content of the electoral platform of president Ali Abdullah Saleh is going an according to what is planned for it. He pointed out that not one year elapsed since holding the presidential elections in Yemen of last September.

Al-Eryany said the president's platform is object of implementation and as a result of the elections and the international reports that praised and mentioned they were free and democratic elections, were the cause that Yemen obtained more than $6 billion as support from donor countries.

Dr Al-Eryany pointed out that the process of carrying out the president's programme is taking multi courses, some pertains to the process of development, others related to combating corruption and others concerning the progress in measures for qualifying Yemen to join the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Dr Al-Eryany affirmed that the president's programme regarding fighting corruption is clear and said the measures for fighting corruption are carried out in the light of what the president program contained and the government program and referred to the measures of setting up a committee on fighting corruption. He said corruption is not confined to Yemen and it is rather present all over the Arab homeland but Yemen prepared a programme for fighting it in cooperation with international organisations, including transparency organisation.

Regarding the events of Saada al-Eryany said the state dealt with the issue in line with its responsibilities. He added there were those who raised arms against the state and he state dealt with the rebellion as an insurgency, expressing his surprise over those who try to legitimize raising arms in the face of the state. He said currently there is the process of implementing the cessation of hostilities in Saada.

He added there is a committee composed of representatives of political parties, parliament and the Shoura Council and representatives of the General People's Congress are minority in the committee, adding that intentions will be judging. He confirmed the poetical leadership possesses the intention otherwise the opposition would not have been sent to negotiate with the insurgents, in implementation of the declared agreement.

The president's political advisor stressed that the political decision in Yemen is independent and was taken according to institutional frameworks and added that the political leadership is committed to carry out what comes from those institutions.

In his interview to Mubashir Programme broadcast by al-Jazeera satellite channel Saturday evening Al-Eryany added the national issues pass through constitutional establishments and the political leadership and the government comply with them, citing the political leadership dealing with solving the border disputes with Oman and Saudi Arabia that were an object of difference before the parliamentary majority decided to settle them.

On the General People's Congress al-Eryany said the GPC is a party including all people and Yemen's merchants are not all affiliated to the party. He said the GPC offers political service within the framework of the democratic regime and it is one of the parties in the arena, today it is ruling and tomorrow outside rule.

He considered the talk about the south and the north as from residues of the past present in minds of people and clarified that the relation between the state and the society is governed by elections and democracy.

In response to the economic reforms policy implemented by Yemen a;-Eryany said he was a party in the doses that saved the Yemeni economy from collapse. Without implementing those reforms the dollar could have been equal to more than 5000 Yemeni riyal.

Regarding expatriates he said Yemen deals with them on basis their presence in countries which they should respect their laws. In case of any harm inflicted on any Yemeni citizen the government deals with that issue as any government in the world does.

In conclusion of his talk Dr Al-Eryany affirmed the president's advisor practices his tasks as part of a system and the president has more than one advisor and the president does not take a decision without consulting the system of advisors.
