Almotamar.net - Yemen's deputy premier, minister of interior Dr Rashad al-Alimi said Tuesday his country will be facing an economic problem with regard to tourism sector, expressing his hope that the international community will stand by Yemen in facing terrorist acts and help it so that will not enable the terrorists to achieve their goals aimed at disconnecting peoples relations through world communication via tourism. He described terror as a world phenomenon that must be encountered worldwide.
Yemen's interior minister assed" We have been facing a war on terror since an earlier time and Yemen's cooperation with international efforts for fighting terror at regional, local and international levels constitutes a cause for paying its price at present."
Statements of Dr al-Alimi came on the sidelines of a meeting held Tuesday with the visiting Spanish delegation headed by the Spaniard minister for tourism, industry and labour. The Yemeni interior minister said the terror is a world phenomenon and it would not be a surprise the presence of Yemeni elements in any place of the world or elements of other nationalities adding "we have begun investigations into the terrorist attack and we expect to complete them at the coming hours. I informed the Spanish minister on our readiness to receive a Spanish security delegation to participate in investigation and we shall announce results we reach on time with participation of the Spanish delegation."
The visiting Spanish minister expressed his government's appreciation of the Yemeni efforts of investigating in the event and of the medical and health care the Spanish injured persons have received. He expressed his country's gratitude for the condolences sent by President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the prime minister, the deputy premier, minister of interior and the ministers of tourism and health to the people and government of Spain.
The Spanish minister affirmed his country's willingness for cooperation with the Yemeni side and offering expertise to contribute to disclose those who stand behind that incident, he added We understand these operations are part of a series of many terrorist operations the world is witnessing and it will not affect the Yemeni Spanish relations because Spain has good relations with the Yemeni republic and are continuously developing and that is why a Spanish embassy has recently been opened in Yemen."
