Almotamar.net - The panel supervising implementation agreement on ending the sedition in Saada said Thursday it has given insurgents there an additional 3-day grace period to meet their commitments and end the state of insurgency and implement the remaining article of the agreement.
In a press release almotamar.net received a copy of it the committee held Abdulmalik al-Houthi and his rebel group responsible for rebellion and delay in carrying out articles of the agreement and the timetable plan for departing their positions. It also held them responsible for the serious impact of their sabotage acts and violations during the ceasefire period.
The committee disclosed more than 200 cases of ceasefire violations by al-Houthi followers and resulted in the martyrdom and wounded number of persons, kidnapping of citizens, destruction of houses and seizure of equipment and vehicles belonging to citizens and the state. The panel demanded them to respond to the last call by the president of the republic and to abide by peace efforts and prevent bloodshed before it is too late.
The committee also made it clear that the state authorities and the security and military apparatuses responded greatly and adhered to implement decisions of the committee since it has begun its work whereas the response of the insurgents has been weak. It said that was embodied by continuation of violation of ceasefire during that period. The violations amounted to ,ore than 200 cases resulted in martyrdom and wounding and kidnapping of citizens, destruction of houses and confiscation of some equipment and vehicles of citizens and the state.
Added to that, the committee's press release mentioned their non-responding to the plan of getting down of mountains and surrendering weapons, equipment and release of the kidnapped as well as return of displaced people and insurgents to their villages.
