Almotamar.net - Vice-President Abd Rebah Mansour Hadi issued a statement Saturday on the military pensioners' demands and protests and President Ali Abdullah Saleh's constructive and serious response to that as he gave his directives for conducting investigation into files of the retired military men and the necessary and just dues related to those rights.
The Vice-President's statement affirmed that any demands concerning rights of this kind are rightful demands and no one has objected to them as long as they are within the democratic and constitutional practices and following up the acquired rights.
He added," All have interacted for that en, especially by president Ali Abdullah Saleh, the commander in chief of the armed forces who has issued decrees promoting a number of officers to higher ranks and the return of others to service. He has also decreed promotion of pensioned military ranks. That has reflected keenness of the political leadership to take measures guaranteeing their rights."
Mr. Hadi said any other investment of such a case would change it into a political course to be used for political wrangles and narrow considerations. The Vice-President's statement expressed surprise over biddings shown by some personalities known for their political affiliations and the attempt to drive the issue to serve goals hidden for all, even the retired military men who are the concerned ones in the issue.
