Almotamar.net - The official spokesman for the committee supervising implementation of the agreement between the state and al-Houthi in Saada expressed Tuesday his fears of indicators that might undermine the entire agreement. However he affirmed the committee adherence to weak ray of hope that Al-Houthi and his followers respond to the committee's demands.
Sheikh Yasser al-Awadhi told almotamar.net late last night that the agreement was passing a dangerous turning point that might lead to its failure at a time only 24 hours remain for the end of the 4th extension of the grace period and nothing was achieved during last Monday and Tuesday.
Al-Awadhi wished that they would keep the agreement that was reached under good offices of the Qatari brothers and would not be repeated. Nevertheless, al-Awadhi did not deny positive steps taken by al-Houthi such as withdrawal of his followers from the road between Dhahyan and Qatabir towards Baqum but the road is remaining in the range of their fire.
The committee's spokesman also did not ignore al-Houthi followers departure from the mountains of Al-Jaamalah and Raghafa and Khanfar deeming hat the only ray of hope which no sooner has vanished when they remained present at the plateau around those mountains. Regarding al-Houthi commitment to ceasefire al-Awadhi said he is committed to a great extent with violations happening from time to time.
The presidential committee supervising implementation of the agreement for ending insurgency in Saada had extended the grace period it had granted to the elements of rebellion that will end today Tuesday. The last extension came in response to a number of sheikhs and notables of Saada request.
The committee spokesman renewed the call for the insurgents to benefit from the period to meet their compliance with carrying out the agreement on ending the rebellion and response to peace efforts.
