Upon his leaving for South Korea Saturday leading the Yemeni delegation to meetings of the board of directors of the Yemeni liquefied gas project to be held at the Korean capital Seoul on 22-25 of this month, the Yemeni minister made it clear that the meeting would discuss the technical, constructional and practical works as we; as to discuss work reports of the project regarding what has already been completed and the remaining parts under construction.
The minister said during his stay in Korea he will meet the South Korean minister of oil and minerals and presidents of Hyundai, S.K and KOGAS companies participating in the Yemeni gas project. He will discuss with them ways of enhancing and promoting investment cooperation. He confirmed the reciprocal trust between the Yemeni and Korean sides in the area of oil investment that recently has been culminated by signing an agreement of partnership with the Korean National Company (K.N.O.C.) in block 4 and the Yemeni Company for Oil and Minerals Investment with 50%, in addition to the Korean company winning of two oil sectors in the second international bidding.
According to Saba news agency the minister would visit the port of Samsung specialised in building ships to inspect and follow up progress of building the two tankers for carrying the liquefied gas. The two tankers have been chartered from the Danish company A.B. Muller for the gas project.
