Jamil Jadabi Almotamar.net - Security men in Old Sana'a area on Wednesday did not expect that an incident of fire exchange close to them would lead them to discover that some jewels, believed to belong the Yemeni Queen Arwa Bint Ahmed Al-Salihi have lately become goods for sale and buying in a black market. Those jewels were stolen by some thieved who trespassed the tombs of Yemen's old kings and tampered with treasures of Al-Salihiya treasury and the jewels of the Queen Arwa the great Arab Queen.

The story began with security men who last week caught two persons over exchange of fire at the square of Old Sana'a after a dispute between them over ownership of a metallic piece usually fitted on the handle of Jambiya (a type of Yemeni daggers).

A security official at Sana'a security maintains in a statement to almotamar.net that when they wanted to se the piece of jewel over which the two persons quarreled, it was discovered that it is a gold coin dating to the days of the Yemeni Queen Arwa.

That old gold coin led the security to 20 other gold pieces and more than 100 silver coin pieces dating to the days of the Salihiya kingdom as well as other two persons accused of stealing those jewels while two other persons are still wanted by the security. The security official did not rule out that the accused persons have connection with the stealing operation of the mid of last January at the historical site of Wadi Dhafar in the governorate of Ibb. He has also clarified that they seized in possession of one of the accused persons an anklet, a gold ring, as bull head and a statue depicting a man. The security official believed to be all belonging to the age of the Salihiya kingdom in Yemen (1048-1138 A.D.).

In his exclusive statement to almotamar.net the security official affirmed the accused persons will be sent to prosecution within the next two days. He added that security men have also discovered inside a mobile of one of the accused persons about 20 pictures of very valuable antique pieces and old manuscripts.

Historically, the Al-Salihiya state was one of the ancient Yemeni states established by King Ali Bin Mohammed Al-Salihi and Sana'a was its capital. When the king got very sick his son Al-Mukaram took power of the kingdom and during his rule his wife Arwa appeared to share him the rule and building of the country. After the death of her husband Mrs Arwa took power and chose the city of Jibla, the present governorate of Ibb as capital of the state. During her 50 years in power the Queen achieved great and unique success due to her well-known wisdom and justice and in addition to her political success and strengthening the influence of her kingdom she built many of historical Islamic and human landmarks such as the building of Mrs Arwa Mosque in the city of Jibla, it is the Grand Mosque in the city, and built the northern part of the Grand Mosque in Sana'a.

She had also allocated many arable lands for cattle, built services facilities and pure waters networks supplying all houses of the city of Jibla via a long canal extending to the tops of the mountain overlooking the city. She had also worked for priding houses for scholars and students and formed classes of science inside the Mosque of Jibla where students of knowledge from different areas were going to study

Almotamar Net - Doctors use the word “crisis” to describe the point at which a patient either starts to recover or dies. President George W. Bush’s Iraqi patient now seems to have reached that point. Most commentators appear to think that Bush’s latest prescription – a surge of 20,000 additional troops to suppress the militias in Baghdad – will, at best, merely postpone the inevitable death of his dream of a democratic Iraq. Yet as “Battle of Baghdad” begins, factors beyond Bush’s control and not of his making (at least not intentionally) may just save Iraq from its doom.
