Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh has left Sana' Monday for Turkey on a several-day visit, leading a high-ranking ministerial delegation and a delegation of Yemeni businessmen and investors.

Upon his leaving Sana'a Airport the President expressed his pleasure and his accompanying delegation for visiting the republic of Turkey in response to an invitation by the Turkish President Abdullah Gul as part of continuous communication and steady development of the distinguished relations between the two sisterly countries.

President Saleh made it clear that during his stay he would hold talks with President Gul and the Prime Minister Recep Tayyib Erdogan dealing with ways of enhancing brotherly relations and areas of cooperation at all levels in the manner serving common interests of the two sisterly countries and peoples.

President Saleh added," We shall exchange viewpoints on the ongoing issues and developments at the regional and international levels, particularly developments of situations in Iraq and Palestine as well as the issues and developments interesting our Islamic nation and the international efforts exerted for combating terror."

The president expressed also his satisfaction over continuous growth in the Yemeni-Turkish relations, describing them as deep-rooted in history and is being consolidated by virtue of the sincere desire for pushing them forward towards more spacious horizons. President Saleh added that the visit will be an opportunity for discussing ways of enhancing and developing levels of trade and economic exchange between the two countries in addition to informing Turkish businessmen and investors on characteristics of investment in Yemen and the facilities Yemen offers for encouraging investors and " we welcome them to invest in Yemen and they will find all care and encouragement."

President Saleh pointed out that the relations of partnership between Yemen and Turkey are witnessing noticeable development besides the trade exchange, affirming Yemen's keenness on strengthening this partnership to cover other areas with the aim of achieving the two countries common interests.
