Almotamar Net - Secretary General of the Arab Women General Federation, the Chairwoman of Yemeni Women Union Ramziya Abbas al-Eryani has been elected member of Board of Directors of the Arab Family Organisation and Chairman of Strategies Committee. MS al-Eryany election took place in a meeting held on sidelines of the recently held Regional Conference for Family Guidance organized by the Arab League and the government of the United Arab Emirates and Arab Family Organistion. Ms Fardous al-Dhalaie, in charge Information and Culture at the Yemeni Women Union said un a statement to almotamar.net that the meeting of the General Assembly of the Arab Family Organisation has also came out with the election of Jamal al-Bah as Chairman of the Organisation for a second 4-year term under candidacy of the government of Sharja. He has presented a report at the meeting of the General Assembly on achievements of the Organisation in the previous session and return and volume of the activities it has carried out at the Arab level in favour of the Arab family.

The report mentioned the main activities included in the strategy of the Arab family that was approved by the Arab League and the accompanying activities.

On the other hand Ramziya al-Eryany met the Secretary General of the Higher Council for Family Affairs in a special meeting for the Yemeni delegation where she discussed the most important family issues and the future activities of the federation and the council.

Almotamar Net - Doctors use the word “crisis” to describe the point at which a patient either starts to recover or dies. President George W. Bush’s Iraqi patient now seems to have reached that point. Most commentators appear to think that Bush’s latest prescription – a surge of 20,000 additional troops to suppress the militias in Baghdad – will, at best, merely postpone the inevitable death of his dream of a democratic Iraq. Yet as “Battle of Baghdad” begins, factors beyond Bush’s control and not of his making (at least not intentionally) may just save Iraq from its doom.
