Almotamar.net - The American President George W. Bush has on Friday affirmed the United States of America's keenness on enhancement of its relations with Yemen, praising the democratic pursuit in Yemen and the ongoing changes in this regard, at the forefront of which are the free democratic elections whether the parliamentary or the presidential and local that Yemen had witnessed.

That came in a telephone conversation President Bush made with president Ali Abdullah Saleh Friday during which there was discussion on bilateral relations and fields of cooperation between the two friendly countries, among them cooperation in fighting terror.
President Bush also lauded the step of holding elections of governors in the next short period as an enhancement for that democratic pursuit to which Yemen committed itself. Bush has also valued Yemen's stand and efforts in fighting terror, confirming his condemnation of the terrorist attacks under which has recently come and indicated that Yemen an important and effective partner of the United States of America in the war on terror. He said terror is an enemy of security, stability, freedom, democracy and development.

The US President confirmed the USA standing by Yemen and its unity, security and stability as well as backing its efforts in development, democracy and combating terror.

On his part president Ali Abdullah Saleh expressed his satisfaction over the steady development of the Yemeni American relations. He also praised the support the United States offers to Yemen and its democratic process, the development, the reforms and efforts for combating terror.

President Saleh renewed Yemen's commitment to its efforts to fight terror, considering terror as international epidemic and its danger is aimed at security and safety of all in the region and the world. The President confirmed Yemen's keenness to consolidate its relations with the United States at different levels in the manner serving the two friendly countries and peoples' common interests.
