Almotamar Net - Chairperson  of Yemeni Women Union (YWU)  Ramzia al-Eryany  revealed  Sunday a unions new plan of preparing a strategy until the year 2012 , among its priorities are development of technological skills , concentration on girl education , completion of building headquarters in three governorates in addition to aspects of training and qualification. Almotamar.net, Agencies - Chairperson of Yemeni Women Union (YWU) Ramzia al-Eryany revealed Sunday a union's new plan of preparing a strategy until the year 2012 , among its priorities are development of technological skills , concentration on girl education , completion of building headquarters in three governorates in addition to aspects of training and qualification.

In a press conference the YWU held Sunday on the occasion of holding its second general conference on Monday al-Eryany added that among the priorities of the next stage is raising the proportion of the girl education to 35% and a serious plan for curbing the proportion of illiteracy among women.
She indicated that the YWU is carrying out raising awareness among the citizens for the limiting of the phenomenon of kidnapping foreign tourists through production of films explaining dangers of the kidnapping and its consequences. The YWU Chairperson said the Union has at present 145 centres for illiteracy eradication and there is a plan for increasing numbers of those centres.

Ms al-Eryany said the general conference will be held on 16-17 June 3008 and will be attended by 400 participants from members of the Central Council , delegates from branch conferences held in governorates , representatives from 18 Arab and foreign countries , representing Arab woman organisations .

Almotamar Net - Doctors use the word “crisis” to describe the point at which a patient either starts to recover or dies. President George W. Bush’s Iraqi patient now seems to have reached that point. Most commentators appear to think that Bush’s latest prescription – a surge of 20,000 additional troops to suppress the militias in Baghdad – will, at best, merely postpone the inevitable death of his dream of a democratic Iraq. Yet as “Battle of Baghdad” begins, factors beyond Bush’s control and not of his making (at least not intentionally) may just save Iraq from its doom.
