Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh paid Saturday a visit to War College where he was received by the director of the
college and teaching staff who briefed him on the study, curriculum
and numbers of affiliates.
President Saleh then delivered a speech in which he expressed
keenness on developing the military institution to keep pace with
arm developing technology and military knowledge.
"Without improving officers' minds, the machines are worthless. More officers with excellent military knowledge, more successful
operations," Saleh said.
He addressed students saying: "We are now working on educating and
preparing you to be future leaders, military leaders. You will not
remain students along your life but you will be future leaders with
great responsibility."
He noted importance of accepting more applicants in the military
academies for preparing good generation," we are able to accept new
numbers of students to complete their military studies."
He affirmed that the leadership is working on updating military
building and taking into consideration quality before quantity for
keeping pace with national responsibilities this institution caries
on shoulders.
