Almotamar.net - "Nasserite Unionist Organization (NUO) objected to the Islah Party calling independent candidates as Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) candidates in different governorates," well-informed sources told the motamar.net.
The sources added the NUO Secretary-General Sultan Al-Otwani has told the Islah Party Secretary-General Abdul-Wahab Al-Anesi Islah Party's reconciliation in tribal areas is useless, and that displacing JMP candidates with independent ones would not succeed, even if JMP candidates are less influential than Sheiks.
Al-Otwani doubted tribal and social figures' loyalty to the JMP, and that they wouldn't come over alluring offers granted to them by the ruling party, the sources noted.
Al-Otwani, according to the sources, insists on granting NUO members priority in selecting the local election candidates, calling for a unified political action that adopts the NUO ideas.
The sources, moreover, made it clear that the Islah Party has displaced JMP candidates with independent candidates who have influential positions among tribesmen. The Islah Party has also granted social figures a number of JMP seats in the electoral committees.
