Almotamar.net, Saba - In its cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, the government approved setting up main unit in the Ministry of Planning and International cooperation for monitoring and evaluating development plans.
Earlier, the cabinet had discussed observation and evaluation
strategy for the third economic and social development plan of
poverty alleviation for the period 2006-2010 and approved it.
The strategy aims at naming difficulties and obstacles facing
implementing the plan and making solutions and treatments in due
time according to partnership and sustainability doctrines.
In the light of the discussion, the cabinet also approved
observation and evaluation strategy for the period 2008-2010 and
directed all government bodies to commit themselves on carrying
out what have been included in the strategy.
The observation and evaluation process covers main indicators of the third five-year plan in productive, service, infrastructure, financial, good governance, investment and other social sectors.
