Almotamar.net - Assistant secretary General at the General People's Congress (GPC) for Information Sector Dr Ahmed Ubaid Bin Daghr called Tuesday on preachers to guide people towards cooperation and tolerance as they are Islamic values preserving for the society its unity and the social fabric its cohesion.
Dr Bin Daghr said when people and the society are exposed to damage the preachers have to disclose them and enlighten the people about the detriments of the mistakes that contradict constants of the religion and national values. He asserted the role of preachers in the protection of the youth against violence disseminated among them by extremist groups that changed the youth from promising energy and wealth into caldron of violence.
In a large meeting he chaired during the inauguration of guidance caravans of Ramadan Dr Bin Daghr pointed out that the GPC is an organisation of moderateness and adopts those guiding roles through the preachers in prelude to putting an end to the phenomenon of violence.
Dr Bin Daghr reiterated the confirmation that the GPC would remain sticking to the democratic values particularly accepting others. He has also touched on the obstinacy of the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) during dialogue meetings and their repeated conditions aiming at impeding the success of the upcoming parliamentary elections.
