Dr Basura added that the local authority and Antiquities Institution did not render a big attention to antiquities, pointing out the lack of tourist services at the historical areas. He said landmarks of the Islamic era are coming under destruction, especially the mosques and held the Antiquities Authority responsible for the old mosques are subject to destruction.
He also called for the necessity of documentation of the old schools and mosques with photos so that to be in memory for the coming generations in case there is renovation or new building. Basura clarified that the revolutions of 26 September and that of 1948 have been deformed by those who wrote about them and the role of the active leaderships was neglected.
The Minister Added that the Islamic period in Yemen was full with civilisation such as the Rasolite Tahirite state and the Ayoubian state, calling on the state to encourage and supporting researchers.
