Almotamar.net - Yemen ambassador to Russia Mohammed Saleh Ahmed al-Hilali said mob day the Chairman of the Russian Federal Council (Senate) would pay a visit to Yemen this week.
Al-Hilali said the Russian official Surgey Mironov would lead a high ranking delegation in response to the invitation extended by Chairman of the Yemeni Shoura Council Abdulaziz Abdulghani, according to report by the Russian news agency Novosti.
Yemen's ambassador to Russia had met in Moscow on 30 of last September head of the international office for external relations at the Russian House of Senate and discussed with him arrangements for the visit. The two sides also discussed means of developing and promoting bilateral relations between the Yemeni Shoura Council and the Federal Council of Federative Russia.
The two sides affirmed the importance of the visit that would be expected to constitute a big and qualitative transfer for development of relations of political, parliamentary, economic, and cultural and investment cooperation between Russia and Yemen.
The visit of the senior Russian official comes on the eve of Russia and Yemen celebrations of the 80th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations and signing an agreement of friendship and cooperation between the two countries on the 1st of November 1928.
