By: almotamar.net - TAIZ- MP and Islah Party member Abdullah Ahmed Al-Odaini headed a number of mosque preachers ,who belong to the same party, in attacking President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the government and General People's Congress (GPC) as they delivered Friday sermons in Taiz governorate.
Locals who attended the Friday sermon at al-Noor mosque said al-Odaini has described the GPC members as insincere and should be fought.
On the same front, a number of Islah Party candidates for local elections have used mosques for bringing out their electoral propaganda, which runs counter to the election law.
Local sources said Islah Party members are using mosques to deliver sermons that attack the GPC and President Saleh in person.
Meanwhile , the main election committee in al-Mawaset district questioned the Islah Party candidate who made use of the Friday sermon for his electoral campaign. The committee asked him to stick to the election law.
On the other hand, the Islah Party members go on collecting donations for the electoral campaigns under the cloak of "supporting student school bags".
Local sources told the motamar.net that the Islah branches allover Taiz governorate have collected amounts of money from mosques.
Sources added that the Islah could make use of the donations collected for the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine for its interests. The fate of such donations has not been decided, they added.
