By: almotamar.net - Hayel Saeed Anam Group of companies has announced that it is intending to establish a joint stock company at Aden Free Zone to produce and refine sugar with a capital of $100 million.
In a press statement circulated today, the group mentioned that it had agreed with other investors with experience in sugar industry to establish a joint stock company that will tackle the establishment of a sugar-refining factory with an annual capacity of one million tons.
The statement added that the enterprise is expected to provide hundreds of direct and indirect job opportunities and save millions of dollars now expended on sugar imported from abroad.
The sugar factory is going to cover the local market's needs and export the surplus to East African countries, the statement said.
