Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh issued directives for speeding up establishing a number of cancer centers in Hadramout, Aden, Hudeidah, Taiz and the Capital Sana'a.
In his meeting with the participants of the 4th conference of Gulf Union for Combating Cancer being held here in the period February16-18 on Tuesday, Saleh issued directives for buying a number of sets for early diagnosis of cancer.
He also directed taking measures for enacting legislations on imposing taxes on mobiles bills and on cigarettes to be allocated for supporting cancer centers.
The president directed banning smoking in public places, especially in universities and schools and in transportation means. He also issued directives on strengthening censorship on using pesticides and poisons which are dangerous on health for they causes diseases.
The participants briefed the President on the results of the conference being held under the motto (Head and Neck Cancer) and participated by physicians and specialists from GCC countries and a number of other countries. They highlighted sponsorship and care given to the conference and efforts of the country for combating cancer.
