Almotamar.net - Yemen Ministry of Public Health and Population on Wednesday announced discovery of 4 new cases infected with swine flu after its announcement on Tuesday the identification of the first case of the disease known as H1N1 virus.

Yemen’s Health Minister Abdul-Karim Rase said today the new infections are in the same group of students who returned from America that it was announced yesterday the infection of one of them in Aden. He clarified that the 4 discovered cases of today are two in Sana’a and other two in Aden. The Minister pointed out that his ministry began examination of all the 32 students who have returned from a training course they received in America.
Dr Rase added that the patients were given necessary medicines and that their conditions are stable, indicating that the patients and their families have been given instructions on methods of the virus transfer so that to contain the disuse and prevent its spread.

In its regular meeting on Tuesday the Yemeni cabinet approved the emergency national plan for raising the preparedness to encounter the swine flue disease in case of registering any new case of infection with the swine flu in Yemen.

Gulf Cooperation Council states’ and Yemen ministers of health approved, in their meeting the beginning of last may in Doha , common precautionary measures to counter the swine flu in the light of its spread in a number of world countries.

Almotamar Net - Doctors use the word “crisis” to describe the point at which a patient either starts to recover or dies. President George W. Bush’s Iraqi patient now seems to have reached that point. Most commentators appear to think that Bush’s latest prescription – a surge of 20,000 additional troops to suppress the militias in Baghdad – will, at best, merely postpone the inevitable death of his dream of a democratic Iraq. Yet as “Battle of Baghdad” begins, factors beyond Bush’s control and not of his making (at least not intentionally) may just save Iraq from its doom.
