Almotamar.net - Deputy parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Shaddadi delivered address of the Parliament Presidency Body at the resumption of parliament sessions on Saturday. In his address al-Shaddadi considered festivals held on the Unity Days in different governorates of Yemen besides conferences of the local councils as well as what they issued as a referendum on the unity and people’s cohesion against its enemies.
The address also praised the national efforts and unitary stances of the President of the republic, expressing the MPs rally behind him in the march of struggle on the approach of unity, development and stability.
In the same context MP Salem Mansour Haydar from Abyan governorate said the unity is in the pupils of eyes, adding that the population of the southern governorates are unionists and indicated at the same time to what he described as danger of the situations resulting from who he called the corrupt and the opportunists.
Head of the parliamentary bloc of the ruling General People’s Congress Party GPC Sultan al-Barakani called on the members of parliament to be more committed that others to the constitution and laws- in his comment on remarks by the Yemen Socialist Party MP Aydarius al-Naqib who remarked on attacks by security men on demonstrations took place two weeks ago in Alund area and described that as violation of the law.
Al-Barakani also said it was supposed that al-Naqib, while speaking about the constitution and the law, not to contradict him as he considered those who block roads and disturb the public peace as an allowable and legitimate matter.
On the other hand some MPs urged continuation in measures for withdrawing confidence from the minister of justice particularly after the court of Khadir had issued a judgment on nullity of the measures taken against MP Ahmed Abbas al-Barti, who has attended this session of the parliament. The MP was put in prison last March.
