Almotamar.net - Head of the Information Office at the General People’s Congress GPC Tareq al-Shamy on Sunday criticized what he described as the crooked logic Joint Meeting Parties JMP’s recent stance in person of its spokesman towards the expected festival on the occasion of 7 July.
Al-Shamy wondered about the JMP logic of considering the peaceful marches expressing adherence to the unity and rejecting secessionist voices as “arousing internal sedition”, whereas it gives legality to sabotage acts violating the law such as blocking roads, spreading spirit of hatred, provoking secessionist and regionalist tendencies and disturbing public peace in the society as well as destabilizing security and targeting armed forces and security personnel.
Al-Shamy described that as crooked logic indicating political bankruptcy and proving that the JMP has changed into a sound phenomenon and that that concerns it is to issue statements and finding excuses for whatever targets the homeland, its unity, security and stability. He has repeated that so far the JMP has not taken a stance refusing and condemning secessionist calls and attempts of instigating sedition. He also pointed out instead of that the JMP has worked for creating justifications for whatever violating the constitution and the law.
Al-Shamy added that the homeland was the victor in the war of 1994 summer by preserving the unity and democracy and defeating the secessionist project. The entire Yemeni people had stood up to the conspiracy, al-Shamy said. It is the right of the masses to celebrate the anniversary of defeating that secessionist project and remind of the sacrifices the people had offered for preserving the unity and democracy.
