By:almotamar.net - SANA'A- Head of information sector at the Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum (SCER), Abdu al-Janadi said the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) came first as to the number of cases of violating the election publicity over the two past days. The JMP attacked the General People's Congress (GPC)'s electoral propaganda three times, either by shooting at the GPC's presidential candidate posters or tearing them up, while the GPC attacked the JMP electoral propaganda only one time.
Al-Janadi said starting from September 2, the names of the people attacking electoral propaganda will be announced as the political parties don't stick to the election publicity regulations.
He urged the presidential candidates to reconsider some of the words mentioned in their platforms, noting that the SCER will not accept to broadcast any speech containing artifice or words that lead people to violence.
He also called on the JMP and GPC to issue a circulated note among their members and supporters to respect others' electoral propaganda. Such behaviors are attacks both on candidates and democracy, added al-Janadi.
Al-Janadi, moreover, praised the neutral and equal election coverage on the part of the official media, holding partisan media and unlicensed election publicity responsible for the attacks on candidates' posters.
