Almotamar.net - It is scheduled that the World Bank (WB) would contribute $ 20 million to support projects for youths development in Yemen and to empower them economically. That was as a result of the joint working meeting convened on Sunday officials of the Yemeni Ministry for Youth and Sport and officials from the WB. The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation and partnership in the area of development and qualification of the youth so that to contribute to limiting unemployment and fighting of poverty.
The working session was co-chaired by Youth Assistant Undersecretary Ahmed Abdullah al-Ashari for the Yemeni side and Mrs Iqbal Kur, the Executive Manager of the WB project for youth employment, for the WB. The meeting agreed on carrying out a number of joint projects between Yemen and the WB in the field of youth employment , fighting unemployment and poverty , empowering he youth economically and the restructuring of Youth Care Fund by seeking he help of international experts in the field of administration, financing and economic empowerment with the aim of developing the fund's activity and development of its capabilities as well as the better investment of its resources and expenditures in the way enabling it to meet all ambitions of youth and sport activity in the future and developments and in harmony with the goals and plans of the national strategy for childhood.
According to results of the meeting it was decided that the WB would contribute with $20 million to supporting the projects for development of Yemeni youth and enabling them economically in addition to contributing to bringing experts , modernization of administrative and financial systems , helping in modernization of the institutional construction of the youth and sport frameworks as well as modernization of financial structures and development of sources of financing and systems of administration and human development of youth and sport in Yemen .
