By:Jamil al-Jadabi - RAIMAH- Islahi preacher Fadel Abu Ali has exploited Friday sermon to publicize the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP)'s presidential candidate Faisal Bin Shamlan and insult the government of the General People's Congress (GPC).
The Islahi preacher, along with his two assistants, attacked a leader at the GPC who attended the sermon after he complained about the content of last Friday's sermon in Sahla mosque, Raimah governorate.
Local sources told almotamar.net that the GPC leader Abdul-Ghani was beaten up by the Islahi leader and two others as he objected to the way the preacher exploited the Friday sermon in favor of the JMP's candidate. Abudl-Ghani was beaten harshly and was brought to a hospital in al-Hudeidah city, where he is still in the intensive care unit.
Citizen Abdullah Saeed al-Maswari told almotamar.net that the problem was solved as Abdul-Ghani's brothers forgave the Islahi preacher and his assistants.
