Almotamar.net - Yemen’s Interior Ministry has said Wednesday it has instructed security authorities in provinces of Abyan, Shabwa and Al-Baidha to intensify their campaigns of chasing the elements of al-Qaeda and to make full coordination with the security apparatuses in the three provinces.
It has emphasized that al-Qaeda terrorist elements in the district of Luder are planning to perpetrate a terrorist act in retaliation of the killing strike implemented by security apparatuses against their training camp in Majala area in the three provinces.
The Ministry stressed raising the security awakening and taking possible security measures for arresting the terrorist elements and restricting their movement from one province to another.
The Ministry emphasized that continuation in chasing al-Qaeda elements around the clock and in different provinces of the country for keeping security and stability of the society and Yemen’s high interests which al-Qaeda organization has been trying to threaten.
Security forces, supported by air force jets, had carried out joint and successful pre-emptive operation against hideouts of al-Qaeda organisation elements in each of Abyan, Arhab and the capital resulted in killing 34 elements and the arrest of 17 others. Those elements were planning to carry out a suicidal and terrorist operation against a number of Yemeni and foreign installations and interests.
