Almotamar.net - Head of the information office at the General People’s Congress (GPC) Tareq al-Shamy has affirmed on Wednesday that a security coordination between Yemen and the United States of America comes in the framework of qualification and training of antiterrorism forces, indicating that al-Qaeda organization is spread all over the world and its confrontation requires exchange of information between different countries of the world.
Al-Shamy said, “ For us in Yemen there is a previous cooperation with the United States represented in training the antiterrorism forces, coast guard forces and some security supplies in addition of providing information on the organisation. “
Al-Shamy has also affirmed, in a statement to Al-Jazeera satellite TV channel, hat the security cooperation is because capabilities of the US in this field is bigger than capabilities of the region’s countries and the rest of world countries , especially that it uses the satellites.
He pointed out that this cooperation is represented in monitoring and follow-up of al-Qaeda elements in addition to cooperation in the field of security and military capabilities.
Al-Shamy also said that the danger of al-Qaeda organisation exceeded Yemen and the region’s countries to the entire world and subsequently confronting this organisation is an international task rather than confined to one country.
