Almotamar.net, Saba - The European Union (EU) is currently studying a proposal for raising the development aid for Yemen at an average of 33 percent in 2011 – 2013.
In a meeting of the European Parliament, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union (EU) Catherine Margaret Ashton confirmed that UN humanitarian aid would continue during 2010.
EU official added that the coming aid will be added to € 11 million allocated under the EU support program to the police and the juvenile justice sectors during the past two years.
The European Union has adopted a strategy about Yemen last October and is working currently to be upheld by all members, Ashton said.
