Almotamar.net - Vice President Abid Rabeh Mansour Hadi received in Aden on Saturday the visiting delegation of the Syrian Arab Baath Socialist Party (ABSP) led by the party’s Assistant Secretary General Abdullah al-Ahmar. The meeting discussed and exchanged views on many issues related to partisan activities and details of agreements and meetings carried out under the democratic process and partisan and political plurality.
Al-Ahmar pointed out that during his meetings wit many of the political parties and forces and political activities were prevalent by cordial spirit.
He said that he tangibly felt that they all consider unity, security and stability of Yemen as national constants that are not to be impinged. He indicated that Syria, leadership, party and people, is with the unity of Yemen and its security and stability and it considers Yemen’s unity as a red line, adding that if there are some who express their hostility here and there they express their own evil selves and they have to be under the deterrent punishment in line with the order and the constitution.
He has also confirmed the importance of meeting and understanding even with existence of any difference in viewpoints, stressing that Yemen’s higher interests remain above all other considerations.
During the meeting the two sides praised the brotherly relations between the two countries and Presidents Ali Abdullah Saleh and Bashar al-Assad and emphasized the permanent keenness on developing the relations to broader horizons.
The meeting has also touched on some security and strategic dimension topics at bilateral, regional and Arab levels.
For his part, the Vice President has reviewed possibilities in the national arena, affirming that Yemen is going ahead in construction and at the development and democratic levels. He added that the General People’s Congress (GPC) offers concessions for the sake of upgrading the democratic side in the manner serving all the national aspirations without selectivity or distinction.
