Almotamar.net - The Supreme Commission for Election and Referendum (SCER) in Yemen has discussed in its meeting on Monday chaired by its chairman Khalid Abdulwahab al-Sharif a report presented by head of the technical and planning affairs sector Dr Mohammed al –Siyany on the importance of the beginning and preparation for the stage of revising and amending tables of electors 2010 and the parliamentary elections in April 2011 in accordance with the constitution and the general elections law.
The SCER approved assigning its sectors and the general secretariat to prepare the detailed executive plans relating to the technical and financial requirements, the timetables, and visions concerning requirements and requisites and documents of the stage in prelude to preparation of the general plan of the Commission and the estimated budget for carrying out the stage of revising and amending elector records and the parliamentary elections.
The meeting also considered the report presented by head of parties and civil society organisations affairs on the work of the technical committee on following the project of electoral support for the third stage by the UNDP and the European Commission.
The Commission approved entrusting the head of the sector for parties and civil society organisations affairs to complete rvising the amended document of the international support project for the SCER.
