Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh chaired on Wednesday a meeting of the leaders of the legislative, executive and judicial authorities and Speaker of the Shura Council.
Discussions in the meeting dealt with a number of issues relating to enhancing the role of the three authorities and the Shura Council and the coordination among them, so as to serve the goals of development, democracy and the constitutional institutions of the State within the separation of powers.
The attendees affirmed the importance of coordination and expediting in completion of legislations and laws by the executive or legislative authorities to strengthen the legislative constructer of the State, specially those legislations relating to enhancing the independency of judiciary.
They stressed the need to speed up settlement of cases brought before the judiciary in accordance with the law to serve justice and ensure fairness to citizens and take action on their cases without delay.
In addition to, the attendees emphasized the current and future functions of the three authorities, as defined in the constitution, so as to meet all national requirements, as well as the tasks entrusted to the Shura Council, such as the auspices of local governance and press and discussing issues of concern to society and the process of construction and development.
They also affirmed the impotence of expediting the completion of the draft laws submitted by the government to the parliament, which are listed o the parliament's agenda for the next period.
They noted to the laws and legislations that have been completed by the legislative authority, among them those ones relating to the economic and developmental aspects, including the laws of investment, customs income tax and others.
In the meeting, a number of issues and topics were discussed and appropriate decisions were taken about them.
