Almotamar.net - An official source at the General people’s Congress (GPC), the ruling party in Yemen has on Wednesday expressed his surprise over statements made by Secretary General of the Yemeni Socialist Party (YSP) Dr Yassin Nouman in an interview to Al-Arabiyah TV Channel last Monday. The source said the dialogue with the Channel was a mixture of frustration, prevarication and twisting the facts on the ground. He added the YSP leader talked about failure of the dialogue in solving the differences issues even before the dialogue committee begins its work, claiming that the 30-mmeber committee failed and pinned hope on the 16-member committee; although he repeated several times that the task of the committee is the preparation for the dialogue.

The source queried when the 30-member committee has failed in its task and was not the 16-member committee formed by the 30-mmebr committee and would receive a report from the 16-member committee in preparation for the meting of the 200-member committee on 28 of this month September.

The source said Dr Nouman contradicted himself in his talk on what he called the southern issue and his mentioning of the Movement , the unity and the elections and his talk on not representing of the Movement in the dialogue committee and then he said the Movement is divided and influenced by several directions and that the YSP has first to unite the Movement , indicating that the YSP stood by the Movement from the beginning and it has become part of the YSP so the Movement is represented in by the YSP in the dialogue.
The GPC source expressed astonishment over Dr Nouman talk on the presence of crisis and his call on the regime to recognize it and then says that the dialogue committee has to discuss whether there was a crisis and then to diagnose it and its sources.

To sum up, the source said, Dr Yassin wants alternatives to the unity, democracy and elections; the important thing is to guarantee staying the YSP away from the peaceful transfer of power and the will of electors.
