Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh attended on Wednesday the graduation ceremonies of Marine College 20th batch in Hodeidah governorate.
In the ceremonies that held on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the October 14 revolution, the President congratulated the graduates of the Marine College 20th batch and the 5th batch of coastguard.
Saleh said the Coastguard Authority has established recently but it plays an effective role in safeguarding the 2400km-long coastline and the Yemeni islands.
He also saluted the heroes and martyrs of the October 14 revolution, which is a natural expansion of September 26 revolution, saying that the October 14 revolution has forced the British occupation to depart the southern part of the country.
The two revolutions have paved the way for reunion the southern and northern parts of the country, until the May 22nd comes, when the Republic of Yemen has been announced from Aden city, Saleh said.
The President, finally, saluted the fighters in land, sea and air of Yemen and their sacrifices for the nation's security and stability.
