Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Wednesday presided over a meeting for the committee organizing the Gulf Championship 20 and the security committee, attended by the Prime Minister Dr Ali Mohammed Mujawar and a number of officials.
The President got informed on reports dealing with work of the Championship Committee as well as the security committee tasked with securing tournament of the Gulf Championship 20. The reports mentioned about preparations and arrangements taken by Yemen for hosting this great sport event.
The report presented by chairman of the security committee regarding security measures of the Championship activities and the steps taken for implementing the security plan for the sport event.
President Saleh praised the efforts made by all concerned bodies for the preparation for activities of Gulf Championship 20 stressing on continuing those efforts for the success of the Championship and for making it a distinguished event reflecting good preparation , supplies, reception and hospitality and giving prominence to original civilized spirit of the Yemeni people.
The President also has emphasized the role of the media outlets and the civil society organisations and all national avidities in supporting those efforts. He made it clear that the participants in the championship would be dear guests of their brothers in Yemen and would receive all care, welcome and hospitality.
