Almotamar.net - An official source has expressed astonishment regarding reports and allegations by some media on the establishment of and international intelligence office I Yemen with the aim of confronting al-Qaeda organisation and that American drone planes were deployed in Yemen for chasing terrorist elements.
The source on Tuesday pointed out that those allegations were groundless, saying they don’t go beyond press fabrications as part of the unjust and regrettable media campaign targeting Yemen and its security, stability, reputation and its counterterrorism efforts.
The source emphasized that Yemen has the capability of combating terror by its defensive and security establishment. The source said that establishment is carrying out its national and constitutional duties and tasks with high efficiency and success without the need of interference of any other party for doing that.
He pointed out that Yemen has relations and cooperation with the international community “brothers and friends” and its is an active partner of the international community in the area of combating terror through exchange of information or the aspects related to training and qualification, taking into account that terror is and evil international epidemic and poses a source of danger to world security and stability.
The source added the local and Arab media outlets should have sought the truth and built its fame far from offending Yemen or deforming the facts, instead of running after that propaganda and unjust campaign against Yemen.
The source reiterated Yemen’s refusal of any foreign forces on its territories, sating the battle against terror is a Yemeni one especially that the security training and coordination and cooperation with the international community is confined only to security exchange of information, training and coordination with the boundaries of preserving the national sovereignty.
