Almotamar.net - The Specialized Penal Court in Yemen listened on Tuesday to the six witnesses in the case of Hisham Asim accused of his affiliation to al-Qaeda cell and the killing of the French citizen an employee in the French company. The witnesses affirmed , in the court session held Tuesday that the defendant killed the French man in premeditating way, his resistance of authorities and refusal of surrendering to security bodies after committing the incident . One of the witnesses called Ruaa, secretary in an Austrian company, said the defendant opened fore directly on the victim and killed him.

Another witness said after killing the French citizen, the defendant refused to surrender himself and demanded the coming of the chief of guards to the company, an American called Andy, and when asked about the reason of his request he replied in order to kill him in front of all.

Confessions of the defendant Hisham Mohammed Asim, accused of killing the French citizen working for the Austrian oil company OMV in Sana’a on 6 of last October contained in the investigations and the seizing in his possession of partisan and personal identity cards, revealed that the defendant is affiliated to the Yemeni Congregation of Reform (Islah) and that he communicated with the terrorist Anwar al-Awlaqi via email 30 times and one voice contact.

The indictment had confirmed that the defendant had killed on purpose the French citizen while he was entering the company for which he was working. The indictment added that after being certain of killing the victim he headed for the second floor of the company building where he opened fire to kill a British citizen official but he failed to kill him due to interference of the company’s administration that offered first aid to the British citizen who was injured.

On the other hand the court decided to postpone trial to 23 of next month, of defendant Abdul Illah accused of cooperating with al-Qaeda.
