Almotamar.net - The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdulrahman bin Hamad al-Attiyah blessed for the Yemeni republic its success in holding activities of the Gulf 20 Championship whose contests are bow going on In Yemen.
After his recent return from Yemen, al-Attiyah affirmed, in a statement reported by the Saudi Al-Jazeera Newspaper, which Yemen succeeded highly in hosting activities of this tournament despite that it is held there for the first time. Al-Attiyah statements came during attending a party held by the Omani embassy in Riyadh on Saturday evening on the 40th Omani National Day.
Al-Attiyah made it clear that has reflected Yemen’s ability of its readiness for organizing of such a championship and others, indicating it has managed to overcome the circumstances and facing all challenges and difficulties it faced. By that it was able to remove all security fears and difficulties with excellence and they were highly capable of bearing the responsibility.
Al-Attiyah also stressed that the Yemenis have won the betting through preparing and providing all factors of success hoped for in holding the Gulf championship on time without any delay in preparation and organisation and that realised the distinguishing of the opening ceremony.
